Fun at the County Fair

On Wednesday night, our family spent the evening at our county fair. It was military appreciation night. So we had free parking and free unlimited wrist bands. That meant the children could go on as many rides as they wanted. And boy, oh boy, do they love rides...
Before the rides, we stopped at a vendor booth that was fundraising for the Breast Cancer 3-Day (just a little more than a month away). The girls got these snazzy new, movie star sunglasses with the breast cancer ribbon on the side.

This is my husband taking our little ones on the ferris wheel. I think he didn't believe that I would get on it. He was probably thinking - I get on and you run away (I'm terrified of the ferris wheel).

My beautiful daughter Sydney (again with the snazzy glasses). I just think this is such a wonderful photo with the sun behind her. She was keeping me calm, telling me jokes...

I made it! And even on the ride my husband is antagonizing me!!! He thought it was so funny to see me scared. Actually, I'm sure in his eyes it is really funny, a 30-something woman with an irrational fear of ferris wheels.

The kids enjoyed the house of fun - even little London made it through the obstacle course.

The tilt-a-whirl is a tradition for my children and me. I will continue to take them on this ride as long as my stomach will allow and as long as they want to hang out with mom!

Like mother like daughter...
It was a really great family night! It was a true reminder of how blessed we are to have such a wonderful family. We have beautiful, healthy children. We just couldn't ask for anything more!

(By the way Traci, I lost my first pair of sunglasses of the summer on a ride at the fair. Not bad considering it's August)
