The 3-Day!

We did it!!! Our team: Allison, Christina, Mara and I completed the 3-Day this past weekend. Unfortunately, I don't have any pictures of our entire team. When Bill (and London) were taking pictures on Saturday, we were not all walking together.
We walked through Saint Paul and the suburbs. We repeated parts of the route throughout the weekend. Friday night, it rained a bit. It was wonderful! It rained just long enough to cool us off. It was a little chilly at night which led to stiff muscles in the morning. But once we were on our way, we loosened up and all was well!
My family made this sign for us. Bill and London met us at the first cheering station (and all others after that) with little bottles of Diet Coke. It was wonderful - not only did Mara and I get Diet Coke, but I was able to see my family for a little while.
If you look toward the top of the photo, you will see thousands of women in long-sleeved white t-shirts. That's all of the 3-Day walker coming into closing ceremonies. The last to enter were the survivors. They were in pink t-shirts.

This is the stage next to the semi with the capital in the background. They are such a wonderful organization!

These are a few of the survivors celebrating the hope of a future without breast cancer! We will find a cure!!!

It was so nice to celebrate with my family after three hard days! When I came home, Bill had decorated the car. He also cut out about 30 breast cancer ribbons and hung them in our house. The last surprise was a dozen pink roses. I have such a wonderful family!
After all is said and done, I will do this walk again. I will do this walk as long as I'm able. Because as the 3-Day slogan says, "Everyone deserves a lifetime."
