The End of 2008

We spent the last week and a half of 2008 in North Dakota with my family. It was so wonderful! After the chaos of getting ready to be gone for a week and a half, it was a wonderful and relaxing end to a very busy year!

Our first stop of the trip was at a boys basketball tournament. My high school is now one of the schools that is represented by initials due to combing schools (at least for sports). The photo above is me, Beth (my sister), Kaitlyn (my best friend's-of almost 30 years-daughter) and Michelle (my best friend of almost 30 years). This is a that's then this is now photo... Michelle and I cheered together a "few" years ago. Now it's the next generation!

This is my niece Mandy with Connor, her nephew. For those of you who are figuring this out, that does make me a Great-Aunt!

Here is my brother Travis with my nephew, Aden (who just turned three and calls me Auntie Miss-Me). We all met at a hotel for swimming, eating (of course), and some very competitive game playing. Apparently, I was too wrapped up in the game play to snap more photos... BUMMER!

London is chillin' out with Grandma and Grandpa, just waiting to tear into all of the presents! She had been organizing them for days and new just where all of her gifts were.

Sydney received a cooking game for her DS (which I have been wanting). I don't have a DS so I will have to stay on her good side so we can give it a try together.

More DS games and jammies to match Auntie Beth!

There was so much snow!!! It was also below zero most of the time which doesn't matter too much when you are surrounded by the warmth of your family (which quickly disappears as soon as you go outside and it's a race to whoever can get int he car first). The snow on my parents' deck was almost to the roof. We were pretty thankful for it! It was the best snowmobiling that we've had in a few years!

This is what my "baby" sister did to me. It didn't matter too much to her that she had on full snowmobile gear and I didn't even have snow pants! She wrestled me to the snow-covered ground - congratulations Beth!
