I have been in a Wednesday morning Bible study for the three years. Well, this is my third year. The first year, I brought my youngest to the pre-school program. She was almost five at the time. We were studying the life of Moses. I was amazed at what she learned and has retained.
Last year, because of morning Kindergarten, she was unable to attend. However, she is now going with my husband to an evening class that are available for children who are 1st grade through high school. I am again amazed at what she is learning. Her homework is not that much different from ours. What I love about this program is that they don't "dumb it down" for the children. We've done many family devotions through the years. They change wording of the verses and really simplify what the Word of God is. My problem with that is, am I really going to ask my children to memorize verses that are so different from what is actually in the Bible and then ask them to relearn them in the future? We've generally just looked up the actual verse and worked on that one.
All this to say, this year we are studying the Book of Isaiah. If you have your Wednesday mornings free, with or without children, please join us! There are also evening women's classes for those of you that work during the day, options for everyone. I know that God is going to make this another incredible year! You can check out all class options at http://www.bsfinternational.org/. And for those of you with children, there is no other training like this for you and your kiddos (**and it's free**).
Proverbs 22:6 "Train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it."
