The Adam and Eve Effect

It began in the Garden of Eden and continues today. "It" is what I like to refer as the "Adam and Eve Effect". Eve gives Adam the apple. Adam eats the apple. Then Adam blames Eve when confronted by God.

Our story is a little more simple and does not effect the world until the end of time. Our kids are required to ask before helping themselves to a snack. The other day, I found them with empty chocolate pudding cups and more evidence all around their mouths. I asked, "Did you two ask if you could have a snack?" Instantly, Jacob was pointing his finger at London. Somehow it was her fault that neither had asked for permission.

And so the story goes...
