He's Home!!!!

We had an incredible Memorial Day! Bill came home at about 4:00 pm. We made a "welcome home" sign. Sydney and London practiced... Sydney said "go". Then London would hold up the sign. But the minute we saw him, all of the practice went to waste. We had much bigger things to think about like the extreme joy we were feeling.

All along, Bill and I have both been a little nervous about how this transition would be. Would the control-freak wife feel like her toes were being stepped on? Would Bill feel like he was walking on eggshells? Would London be shy around her daddy? No - No - and No! It was so much better than we could have even imagined!!!

Next week our family will be complete. Jacob is coming for the summer. London has been waiting to get her ears pierced until Daddy came home. I told that to Jacob. He was a little disappointed that he wouldn't be here. So, we've pushed it off for a week. Apparently, this will be a big family event!

Thank you so much to all of our friends, family and co-workers who have been so supportive over the past few months. We couldn't have made it through all of this without you. Our small group has been so incredible about helping out and sending packages to Bill. My parents have been so great about checking in just to make sure that everything is going ok. Tammy even sent her special cookies... To my friends, simply, thank you... Thank you for inviting me to be with your family on Easter. Thank you for all of the Sunday brunches at Bunny's. Thank you for helping out with the girls and listening to me when I needed to talk.

I feel like I'm at the Academy Awards and the music is starting because this is too long. I just can't express all of the gratitude that I feel.
